Post by blackhallr » Sat Dec 01, 2012 5:12 am

hi,i have just recieved 130 nos spokes bought on ebay sold as cb72 i have stripped my old (DID) rims down and sent them for rechrome but the spokes that came are two sizes the thinest of which there was only 28 fit the nipples i took out of my rims the rest are larger so i cant use my old nipples can anyone shed a light on the thread sizes so i can attempt to buy a dye to recut the large ones or where i can buy new nipples to fit i have a contact in japan who will attempt to source the tooling for me,regards john.

Sounds to me like you simply have the wrong spokes. I wouldnt mess with that. Bucannan (spelling) will make new spokes from stainless which work out fine.
