Parts needed

Post by Sanford-2 » Sun Jul 15, 2012 6:31 pm

Hello everyone,
I just got a 1962 Honda Dream. It's a "fixer upper", with good compression though.
I'm looking for the chain guards, possibly a set of Safety (crash) bars and carburetor covers.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Ouch. You are looking for some pricey items. The clamshells for the carbs and the chainguard are in the hundreds of dollars. Good luck. Ebay has them fairly frequently.

Sometimes you gotta buy another bike for parts, ends up cheaper. then sell the rest of the parts off to break even or make money.

Clam shells

If you are patient enough to wait, ebay can be rewarding. I bought some very nice clam shells a couple years ago with a $29 BIN. All they needed was paint.

Thanks everyone for the info and advice. I'm going to try to get to a couple of swap meets and I'll keep checking Ebay and Craig's list. This is a great website!
