A great deal of the parts for a C77 will not work on a C76. Everything electrical is different, the 77s are 12V, the 76s are 6V. The frame, side panels, etc are different to allow for the oil tank and different sized battery. Your handlebars have been replaced with the USA style (yours should be the pressed metal type). Most parts for a C71 will fit however, though they're not really that much easier to find than C76 parts. The only real difference between the two is in the cylinder, pistons, rings etc.

I hear you Billsey. I have a C71, and I am totally frustrated trying to find parts. I have restored stuff from the 50's easier than this C71. The parts are very expensive when you find them, and many parts don't move over from a C72. I do have an extra half of a C71 engine, and a C76 engine and frame, but my bike is really rough and has been moved to the back burner... Paul

I'm lucky for this, most of the parts are here, big parts are not missing, except the exhaust.I have all the handlebar control, main switch, engine crank with good compression,I have the tail light with the ''dream 300'' plastic. I try to locate c77 front exhaust pipe to compare them to the c76,I have the pipe, but welded so many times.

I'd say stop looking for C71/76 front pipes and have them made at an exhaust shop or something like that, they have a real easy bend an common diameter.
New ones will also look much better when chromed.
I have had mine replicated to a rusted through example, and it came out great.
I can supply the old one to anyone who's interested? (pm me..)
The shop that did the work for me was london-exhaust in the Netherlands, cost me 150 euro's for a new set (that's not expensive in my opinion)

This is my C71 nearly finished, those are the pipes they made for me (and yes, i know the badge is the wrong side...)

if anyone's looking for specific C71/76 parts send me a message (but not for mufflers or handlebars..)
