I've just bought a new 275-18 for my CB77 and the supplier told me that it was a new (smallish) batch that they have manufactured. As you say, they are rather pricey but I do like my K82 / TT100 profiles. Just makes the steering so precise. G '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72

Thanks for the info Graham -- would love to get them, but I think I'll give these Heidenaus a try for now.
This is the problem with vintage-looking tires -- trying to combine the looks, along with confidence-inspiring performance and at a reasonable price. With the Cheng Shins, you had the looks and the price, but I didn't feel comfortable on them at all. The Dunlops are awesome, but $300 for a pair. Hopefully the Heidenaus are closer to the Dunlop end of the spectrum! Vince
Around $75 for the front here..... http://www.vintagetyres.com/search?qs=H ... 0-67&cat=2 Not sure what shipping would cost. G '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72

Got the Heidenau tires earlier this week, and they look really nice. John was pretty impressed with them too, and he now has the bike and is in the process of installing them. I'll likely have the bike back sometime next week, and will post a few photos of the tires on the bike. Hopefully I'll also be able to provide some thoughts on how they feel on the bike. Stay tuned!
Kevin Hahn, owner of Scrambler Cycle and a member of this Forum, sells the Heidenau tires. So no trouble in tracking them down! I'll let you know how they work out....right now the weather is unpredictable (though as I type this it's 64 degrees outside and sunny!), but if I have an opportunity to go for a decent ride in the next couple of weeks, I will. Sorry to butt in Vince.... Looking forward to your feedback.
