Hi Kristof,
As promised in our telephone conversation I can deliver a nice primary chain and a primary sprocket. Please measure the diameter of your clutch sprocket as well. We talked about chain wear, please read the thread "Primary chain rub on top bolt hole boss of left outer cover" in the section "Motors - 247cc & 305cc | 337cc & 350cc" carefully and please share your measurements on this thread. Please open up your oil pump and "read" the inner gears, and compare them with the specs. Like Loudmouse says, these particles are somewhere in your engine and could be gone through the pump. @ rrietman : I saw a few of these damages in engines I opened up, even completely broken ones. Then : available modern oil seals (at eriks) : Please go for modern stuff, even if you are not using a synthetic oil, the patrol contains at least 5% ethanol, and modern oil seals can handle that, the old ones (NOS) not. Oil will contain ethanol residues after riding longer times, so be wise. shift shaft / kick starter p/n : 91202250000 size (ID-OD-TH) : 14-25-7 p/n eriks : 10005836 / 10008718 material : NBR drive shaft p/n : 91203259000 size (ID-OD-TH) : 30-62-8 p/n eriks : 10006003 material : NBR point shaft p/n : 91204259000 size (ID-OD-TH) : 16-28-7 p/n eriks : 10005857 material : NBR crank shaft seal p/n : 91201259000 size (ID-OD-TH) : 32-65-7.5 p/n eriks : not for sale (only 10 mm thick) material : shift drum p/n : 91201200000 (91201283000) size (ID-OD-TH) : 12-25-4.5 p/n eriks : not for sale (only 5 mm thick) material : clutch adjuster p/n : 91205200000 size (ID-OD-TH) : 22-26-29.8 p/n eriks : not for sale material : clutch rod p/n : 91205259000 size (ID-OD-TH) : 8-21-6 p/n eriks : 1005190 material : NBR starter sprocket p/n : 91208259000 size (ID-OD-TH) : 20-30-5 p/n eriks : 1006423 material : NBR Like I said in the mail before you bought this bike, please be aware of the costs involved in this resto, and hurrying isn't going to make it cheaper either, Jensen assembly of Japanese motorcycles requires great peace of mind (Pirsig)
Hi Kristof,
Eriks is a company : http://eriks.nl/nl/producten-en-dienste ... /o-ringen/ But when you google a bit, you'll find more, When using a nice used chain, it's better to use it as a original set, sprocket and chain, then they wear less, just like any other chain sprocket combination. The clutch sprocket is a different matter, as the amount of teeth is much lower, so less significant. Jensen assembly of Japanese motorcycles requires great peace of mind (Pirsig)
Jensen,
This morning I measured the primary chain. Below is a picture. Have I done this correct? As you can see it was about 25.44mm.... P1000685 by Kristof Beheyt, on Flickr I removed the oilpump as well but didn't had the time to open it. P1000687 by Kristof Beheyt, on Flickr greets
