So close! took it for a little spin tonight. First time I've ridden a Superhawk. I like!!
I'm waiting now for a headlight and a brakelight switch, and for my tank covers to get here. I need to set my valve lash a little better as it is pretty noisy even when warmed up. How do you keep the speedometer gear unit from trying to rotate with the front wheel? Eds' tune-up recipe says to adjust the screws to get the cylinder speeds the same. How do you tell? The slides and needles move at the same time, so how do you tell if the cylinders aren't synched properly? Bike is looking good! make sure the speedo drive is lined up properly, ther are cutouts in the hub flange that must line up with the tabs on the drive unit. Tighten the axle nut while the lower clamps are loose, this will suck the axle against the drive. Feel the exhaust pulse to sync the idle screws.
