Jets' threads are the finer, JIS pitch. All the threads are correct and mate perfectly with no binding.

My carbs' mains are 145. I couldn't make out the scribe on the idle jets.

Thanks Jerry. I've not looked at the needles (back to the garage today, then!).

When I swapped the carbs out (there was nothing wrong with the originals that came with the bike; the bike ran great but I bought these 'CL' beauties for my originally-intended resto -- now more of a refresh) I retained the 'CB' needles.

I have some Keyster kits but, considering the mileeos my CB covers, they'll probably never get used.

CA77 Keysters are D3
Wonder what the differences are? Bigger number means thinner profile?

My needles are Keihin 2423. Pilot jets look like 39(?).

Steve, I suspect that number is 24231 which is the usual CB77 needle and 24304 appears to be the CL needle according to my stash and notes.

Late type jets are 5mm by 0.8mm and are the same height as older 5mm by 1.0mm jets. All jets should screw in easily and be flush fitted. If they go half way they are the wrong thread for your carb.

Jets with that ring around them are the modern type/size and are available for CB750s etc
