Nice looking Dream.
They are on the rotor. Pull the dynamo cover on the right side and you will see T for tdc and F for when the points should just begin to open.

gap

what do the points set on (GAP)? I assume they should just start to open when the F mark lines up.

tires and covers

Post by rebelbob » Thu Jun 02, 2011 11:22 am

I polished all the covers on the engine and the center hubs on both wheels with 0000 steel wool from wal-mart to a mirror like shine and as for the tires I had good blackwall tires on the bike with the vintage tread design so I ordered FONZIES whitewall paint and put 4 coats on each side letting each coat dry for 24 hrs before the next coat. it does a fine job and I have washed greasy fingerprints off the whitewall with mild soap and water and it did not affect the whitewall paint. the paint is rubber in a liquid form and only $23 for a quart I still have enough left to do about 8 more tires.
