All depends on condition, origionality etc. Post pics here, and the guys and gals are pretty good at picking the bikes apart.

Hey dave the bike is actually still listed on this site. I guess the guy bought it from the fellow that posted his up for sale here....its the 1965 hawk that a Mr. John Lim was selling for 2900.

So let me get this right... you are willing to pay $600 more to a guy who did nothing but ride it?? You won't get a good deal when your desperate, only with patience. ( That actually sounds profound!!) Right now bikes are going for outrageous prices in LA, '60s - '70s Honda for $3 - $4K. Add some clipons and call it a "cafe"!!! There are deals but they go quick.

Here's a '63 CB77 in mid restoration for $1500 http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/mc ... 74018.html

Rick,
There's one listed on ebay right now, item# 270748660313. 66 CB77 out of Venice, CA, $1500 but still hasn't made whatever the minimum bid is. Looks like a good find if what is said is true and the price is right.

For $3800 I would expect a very nice and complete running bike, fully restored, but shy of concourse quality ... a few aftermarket or replica items but looking pretty near factory, decent paint, no visible damage, etc.

My 2-cents

1966/7 CB-77 Red of course
