CB125 Sport or CB160 ?
sloper motorI believe that the "sloper" 175 was only available in the US in the CL version for 1968. The frame differed only in details, but the motor had bigger valves/ ports and a 5 spd trans. The following year was the first for the CB200 which was a "vertical" motor like the "k" series 350's.
Yes to that #216 CB93 info. That's correct and they were available in japan and supposedly in Australia.
68/9 for part year there was the CL175K0, sloper. Most parts are subtly different to the 160 including 5 speed tarns, larger sump similar but different barrel muff and completely different head. That head has CB160 like porting with low mounted ports. The following year saw the into of the 8 degree aka vertical 175 and 125 and a few years later that grew to the CB200 on which basically no parts are the same. Upright motors have very different ports to slopers but can be made to fit as long as you use late CB200 guides with seals. If you leave the old guides, the motor tends to smoke. All vertical 175 trans will fit into a sloper set of cases but the detent lever is different. Cranks all interchange. Some are lighter than others. CB200 has longer rods and different splines.
