Woo hoo! Amazing that you needed a press to pop them. I hope that mine come out a bit easier.

Roadcapden

Those pistons look at an awkward angle in the bore. That surely didn't help when you were trying to push them out. I would think that you need to budget for a re-bore and o/s pistons.

Update,

Got 'em back from the Indy and they cleaned up really good and are still within spec so I can use new stock size pistons and rings!
I have gasket kit already and will order new circlips too.
Best place to buy?

That surprises me. Did your machine shop check the bores for distortion or out of round? If they used a professional bore gauge at the top middle and bottom and rotated it to different alignment, you should be OK.

The way the pistons cocked on the way out tends to suggest that the bottom of the liners at least may be distorted.

Yes, the sleeves were professionally honed and miked.

Anybody got a set of STD pistons and rings?

Got my pistons and rings ready to install but 1st does this cam chain guide ROLLER look OK?
What could happen if I use it?
Are they regular Honda parts or specific to the 77's?
Thx,

Replace it. It will start spitting chunks into the engine!
