I had quite a few of these to do recently so I made up a compressor using some studding and scraps of aluminum.

Works pretty well and is easy to control.

Hi Dana

I built this with several different end fittings so that I can dismantle different types of shocks. If you are only doing Dream shocks the bottom part of the compressor can be much simpler.

So to rebuild the actual shock is there only fluid and o-rings required? What type of fluid? Is it even possible to do?

Yep, it's possible to dismantle Dream shocks completely. You can extract the damper innards and replace seals and oil. The WS Manual says how much oil is required.

The rod, piston and seals are held in place by a threaded retainer ring but are quite a tight fit. I Made an extractor to perform the operation safely.
