Here is a demonstration of my issues

Big night tonight...
TimingSasha, When it takes that much effort, something is wrong. Revisit the tune up procedure and have extra "new" sparkplugs on hand. I agree with Ed, it sounds like your timing is off. When I went through my 305(CL) it took me a few stabs to get the timing just right. When timing it roll it over a few times and double, triple check it.These things like to run, even being a little off your bike should at least run. Good luck and stay after it.............................D
S; OK you have flooded it big time, and for god's sake turn off the headlite. wet plugs need juice. that lite is taking most of it away. pull the plugs and let it sit, really, like a half hour. put in new plugs (not the old wet ones you thought you could clean up) .I'll bet it fires right off.
Good luck Randy Hey guys,
So I fixed the timing and points last night... I didnt have my socket with me to remove the plugs so I am going to go back tonight now that I believe the timing is just right. I will kill the headlight before I reattempt to start it. One thing I noticed is right as my points start to open up they spark, do I want that spark to occur at the F mark on the rotor, or do i want that to occur at all? -Sascha
