I was on ebay and found reproduction side cover knobs for Dreams. I scrolled further down in the ad and he has reproduction Dream and cb77 mufflers for sale also. They look great! No price listed.

big bore cb77 motorI,m restoring a Read Titan cb77 in the UK. These machines had 350cc engines and I need to discover what sort of pistons Ican use.I,ve heard you can use cb 350 k4 pistons but have not had reputable confirmation of this. They were fitted with an inch and an eight Amal concentric carbs but I haven,t got those I do have a pair of 26mm Keihins but suspect that they will not be big enough, any suggestions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just saw your questions on the Read Titan kit stuff, hope this helps ( and is accurate ). The original pistons used in these kit's were made by AE / Hepolite in the UK and had curious grooves all down the skirts and Dykes ( L shaped top rings ). I belive they were coppied from US Forgetrue kits ? CB 350K pistons can be used with mod's, squish band, valve pockets etc. also there are some 64mm race pistons available that can be used. From limited experience and things read the 26mm carbs will work fine, they seem to be best with a long inlet "tube" as per std. / CYB kit for good drive. Most of the period Amal setups seem to feature either long "bellmouths" or extended manifolds probably for the same reason, or perhaps just for the caff racer look ? I have some of these bits and a period Read Titan catalouge If some pictures might help. There is a Read Titan register in the UK I think. Hope this is of some help. Gordon SAFOJ
I had a REID TITAN kit in my CB77 way way back in the 60s. It went great and it did have the grooved pistons but both of them disintegrated at about 10,000 miles of road and track use. I still have the top of one and half the top of the other. I used the 26mm carbs ok but had to change the main jets to a slightly bigger size. Also had minor problems with cylinder liners and head gaskets.
Since then I have run standard Honda 64mm pistons with a home made aluminium head gasket and there has been no real problems over the last 30 years. The bike is an occasional runner now with about 140.000 miles on the clock. I also had a REID TITAN 3/4 race cam in it for a while which made it go real well, but the center spline used to shear off and give you a large power reduction. Running a standard HONDA cam works ok. Best of luck with your project. It made a good bike into a better one even though it was in road trim most of the time. The pistons and the cam certainly smartened up the performance though. Anyway my input :- 1) Know someone who ran 350cc kit with standard CB77 ( 26mm ) carbs and no alterations. 2) Going this route myself using 64mm CB350 pistons ( think later CB350s have bigger bore ) 3) See "Classic Gaskets" ( they advertise in the mags ) as they do solid copper 350 head gaskets. 4) See Motorcycle Mechanics Nov 1971 for "Hot Up A Honda" article where Read Titan say what they do to CB72/77s.
