Cam chain wheel guides/rollers...

Post by stew_bidasso » Fri Aug 25, 2006 2:40 pm

I took my engine apart to install all new gaskets, and I let the timing chain slip out of my hands, and it is now beyond my ability to put it back together.

I took it to a shop this morning to see if they could put it back together for me (and fix the timing that I let slip), and they said they could, but thought I should get new rollers/guides for the cam chain (as well as a new cam chain and .75 piston rings...)

I found one on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/honda-dream-305

I orderd one of these, but would like to get the other one as well. I don't know if I'm looking for the wrong item or what, but I can't seem to find any other roller. Does anyone know what roller this is I bought (top or bottom) and what the item number for the other roller is?

forgot to mention, I have a 1963 Honda cb72, don't know if that matters (seems like these parts were fairly interchangable)...

The roller you purchased is a bottom roller. The upper roller came as part of the cam chain tensioner assembly.

Should be part number 14500-268-010 for that piece.
