saved one from the scrap crusher cb77

neighbor guy was going to scrap it , said i think it could be saved so i bought it ....not sure what it is but i think it is very early superhawk anything is of help ,the serial nuber is cb77 1001184 i know nothing other then at moment it rolls and transmission gos in and out of gear complete bike minus the tank....if anyone knows what this is please let me know it is white in color

Definitely a superhawk. Not sure what year, maybe some of the other more knowledgeable people can figure it out from what's left. Looks like the seat is either home made or had a home repair done on it.

Good job on the save though. The parts alone are probably worth about $400 if not more. The missing pieces are all over ebay. You can pick up a OE style seat from Taiwan for about $100 or so, I see tanks go for anywhere between $40 to $150 with the chrome on the sides.

Does it have compression? You'll more than likely need new cables, brakes, other safety items. Just as a guess, I would say you're looking at about $800 to complete the bike and get it into safe running condition with ebay parts and not worrying about paint and overall looks. You might be able to squeeze by on $500 if you shop carefully. That's also assuming there isn't any major engine work needed and you do all the labor yourself.

thanks for that info ,greatly appreciated ,not sure if i am gonna resto it or if it is going to someone wants it for what i think it is just looking for more info on what exactly it is...i also read white ones are a little rarer but not sure if this is true or not.....................someone anyone help !!!!!!!!!

the frame number is cb77 1001184 i dont know the motor number right now will get it when i get home and post it

That's an early-ish '65, Shoot; welcome along. It'd be nice if you were to edit-in your location in your profile, please.

They were produced in white, as were some CP77s and CYP77s as police specials. That doesn't appear to be a police model (unless it says 'Type 2' on the points cover, r/h/s cyl head).

what does earlyish 65 mean ? begining of 65 or before 65 and thanks is that a good thing or a bad thing i am in upstate ny by the way
