removing rocker arm pins

Ya know what to Just Look at and know which is which without a Mic?. ............lm

The key is that intake pins and exhaust pins have 0.5mm difference in diameter IIRC.

Where the rocker arms ride is the same, but where they go into the head is different. On engines that have been torn down a few times the holes often end up slightly oversized from fitting the wrong pins.

Look at the size of the oil hole in the middle.
Ya will see 2 sizes.
The larger is the intake and the smaller is the exhaust. ......................lm

For years I would put them end to end and one day I noticed the difference at the holes and that made things easier/quicker. ........lm

Hi, just joined forum. Been looking for this info on the valve rocker shafts, as I have just taken my spare C72 motor to pieces in order to do a check and rebuild. I took out the shafts whithout realising they were different!
This spare motor was in a right mess - someone who did have a clue had had it to pieces before I bought it, and totally butchered it.

I recommend ya put the left side parts on the right and vice versa. .......lm

Well, I 'bagged and tagged' each one. I hope that's enough. I TRY to pay as much attention to a part's location and special features etc when I'm dismantling, but sometimes I get too caught up in the act and my attention to detail suffers. There's a learning curve here, that's for sure, but I'm getting better all the time. At least...I hope I am.
