Acetone is usually quite freely available from yacht chandlers (well, it is in Europe, anyway!). Gelcoat/fibreglass repairers use it for cleanup. It's also used in the commercial printing and photo-developing industries -- both dying arts, I'd imagine.....17again wrote:thanks guys.

Onch, I thought I had read something about that but couldn't remember for sure. Where would one buy acetone? Isn't that nail polish remover? Where are you in the Adirondaks?

Incidentally, many nail polish removers are acetone-free, these days; it annihilates thermoplastics!
