CB72
Re: CB72I don't think the CB72 was issued in 1966/67 so could be a 1965 but I'm not sure of last date/year of issue for the CB72. ............lm
Hi,
The CB72 where issued until the end of 1967, at least in (western) Europe. But I second LM, at least according issued 1967 CB72's in the US. I've seen a tagged 1967 CB72 (wire harness), and some people say that they have seen 1968 CB72's, but I can't verify that. The CB72 was less popular in the US, but as things are sometimes different between the US and Europe, here the CB72 was popular, until the 1968 CB250 came. Here in the US one could/can buy any size engine bike and ride it.
Back in the CB72/77 days ya didn't need a special add to your car license to ride one. So we bought the 305 rather than the 250 because of the difference in power and the cost was apx. $40.00/$60.00 more. Don't some of the European nations have different grades of bike license? Like start small and bigger engines are allowed as ya gain years on the bike??????????.....................lm
Hi,
Yes, here was (and still is) the tax system still working. Next to that, the CB72 where here first, later the CB77. The tax is not coupled only to the engine size, but to the power it delivers. Jensen
