Why the rectifier is on the fender and not in the battery box?

Bech, that looks like an aftermarket application, maybe someone wanted to put it out in the airflow?.................................Is that a CB? Dennis

I'd say airflow, as Dennis says, plus additional heat dissipation via the fender.

Regulator

Does it perform the function of the regulator as well?
The bike doesn’t have one (regulator).
