I was on the Rocket on one of local four lanes not long ago and one of those blew by me. Must have been hitting 70mph. Darn things will fly and smelled like I just got passed by a herd of 2 cycle chainsaws.mangajunky wrote:Lambretta Jet 200 - no joke.
Here she is after riding her to Philadelphia.
What is your daily Rider?
I love the smell of burning 2-stroke in the morning....
BTW: what's a Jet 200? We, in UK and within the scope of the 'sportier' Lambrettas, had the SX200, TV200 & GP200 (rectangular headlamp). Different markets, different (2)strokes! Plenty of tuning kits from companies like Ancillotti; 225cc barrel/piston kits & bigger carbs -- up to 35hp! Frighteningly capable of 100mph on those unstable little wheels.... My 'daily' is a Renault Espace 1.9dti; need it for all the crap I insist on carrying for my work. Got the 3rd row of seats out and still end up with stuff on the back seat!
Nearly every day...not really daily, but we have made the trip to the corner store several times
First ride of the year. The weather here in the Pacific Northwest has been unusually balmy lately (right after a 30yr record cold couple a weeks) and my kids told me that what ever you do the first day of the year, you will do the rest of the year so I rode my XR185 around my property, thru the flooded field and put 'er away wet!
I was racing my sons vw buggy: My Dream is still being put back together so I need to keep riding or I'll get rusty, like an old wrench. Happy New Cheers! Clarence Daily rideI try to ride my cl as much as possible, but in a pinch I'll grab one of my trusty old interceptors. 84 vf 700( with 7k miles, original owner) or this one,86 vfr 700( 2nd owner,36k miles) if it's really nice I'll grab my 96 ZX-9, for the dirt it's either my KX-250(ring-ding) or the YZF-450 thumper.........D
