so my front forks are bottoming out really easily as i ride. i have type 1 forks
with belray 10w fork oil and i put around 7.5oz in. im only 150lbs? did i rebuild these things
completely wrong? do the springs go in only one way? any advice would be appreciated.

Deez, forks are soft! Try adding a 1/2 inch spacer under spring, and 15w oil. This will stiffen forks, and slow down rebound so they won't pogo. If you just go with heavier oil, the forks tend to pack up, they can't rebound fully before hitting the next bump, and make for a really harsh ride.

as said, I changed the suspension of my Honda CB400F with very good results,
The person who has to make these springs is working as a technician in this area.
He will do this in his spare time, so I have to be patience.
