Where are the frame #'s !!!!!
Re: Where are the frame #'s !!!!!Golfman. Find these pieces and you will find the numbers;

1. rear brake light switch
2. center stand bracket
3. negative strap
4. left swing arm pivot

These pieces surround (and sometimes cover part of) the frame number.

Good luck. If you find them post them here for all to see please.
Old bikes like old men, sometimes you have to kick start them
Re: Where are the frame #'s !!!!!Yes, Ca77 The tag on the harness says 65 and there are 7 numbers on the engine
Re: Where are the frame #'s !!!!!Thanks PA That is were I am looking. I tried to email pics but my file was too big. I haven't figured it out yet.
I need to apply for a title and need some sort of numbers to put on the application.
The engine is out so is almost everything else. There is nothing in my way. I must be right or a moron.

Re: Where are the frame #'s !!!!!Don't laugh. I had to look several times. Lay down on your side with a flashlight. Look on the frame member going up towards your seat, just in front of the side cover. The numbers are stamped into the frame and have a coat or two of paint on them. Be patient, look extra carefully and it will appear...just like magic.

Re: Where are the frame #'s !!!!!Hey guys thanks for all your help! I found it with some help. Actually when I took the engine out the kickstand bracket moved down and actually covered the numbers. Never mind it's been painted and was covered pretty good. Also, I didn't know the numbers ran vertically on the frame. Boy, do I feel stupid

Ca78-1023389 frame

Ca77E-1023526 engine

1965 Wiring harness

Can anyone tell if the engine and frame were original when they left the factory?
