Okay okay, so I'm in love with this headlight bucket - can't you tell?

Just got an NOS speedo gasket (courtesy of Loud Mouse, of course!), and have replaced a few tired looking screws and nuts this week, so it's real close to being done. This winter's project will include rechroming the gas tank side panels and a few other fiddly bits....nothing major.

Next stop, White Rose VJMC show in August....

Final touch before White Rose. I thought that the bike needed a bit more Norton, so I added a pair of polished seat knobs from a Commando to the upper shock mounts, and moved the acorn nuts to the lower mounts. The knobs did require retapping of the threads, but it was pretty straightforward.

I think we're finally done!

The final look.

Now I'm thinking of a 'Japan Meets Germany' with my white '66 CA77 (like a BMW R60). We'll see....

What it looked like 4 years ago when the previous owner had it (sorry for the picture quality).

Just when you think I'm done, I find some new detail to add.

Norton, Triumph, BSA, Royal Enfield -- how could I forget Matchless? I had my good friend Lee Hulteng, who is a master artist and motorcycle enthusiast, add hand painted red coach lines to both rims. Very sharp!

I'm waiting for the steel indian head to be added to the pedestrian slicer.
