My dad gave me his old CB77 last year but did not have room for it until now. I picked the bike up yesterday and dusted it off a bit for some photos. Dad bought the bike in the spring of 1977 but only drove it for 3 summers. It has not run since 1979 and was not stored properly. Here is what I have on my list so far. The engine seems to turn over like normal (no compression test yet), the clutch is stuck, the throttle is stuck, the choke is stuck, the shift lever is from a CT-70 but I do have the original, the cables are not run correctly, the windshield needs to go, the gas tank is very rusty inside, the front fender is an after market, one badge missing and the other is in very bad shape and I do not know if those are the correct handlebars. The last time my dad drove the bike I was was riding with him as we laid it down on some loose gravel at the end of the driveway. We got a little road rash and the left foot peg mount bent enough to crack a bit.
I will be getting the Silvers books and start on it as soon as the snow flies. Could someone tell me what year it is?
