Shift Fork assembly

Post by lhz55 » Fri Jul 18, 2008 9:39 pm

Upon reassembly, The shift fork end does not stick out enough through the side cover for the foot pedal linkage to fully slide back on.
Is there something I can do to adjust this?
Thanks, Lee

Lee, how far is it off? There is no adjusment, it sits flush in the center case. Is the seal flush with the clutch cover? Is the clutch cover seated against center case? They do slide in and out a bit, but I've never run in to this problem.

Is the seal in the side case fully seated? It should be flush with the metal of the sidecover. JWB

The seal looks flush. I will pull the cover and re-examine the fork. I thought since I've had it apart for a while I may have missed a washer or something.
Thanks, Lee
