could this be an unrelated issue? revs way up to 6-8k instantly followed by me shutting the key off- cussing

throttle cable?

it's insane

any help appreciated

Cable or carbs I think one or both slides are not bottomed or equal height for idle. ...........lm

you think I could have done something while setting the timing or this just happened to occur simultaneously?

I have to replace the fuel lines to get more slack so I can get to the carbs proper. they're really short.

the cable is funky so I'll replace that first and then do the carb adjustments.

thx

cable. it got all wonky somehow, the slides could have been off but the state of the cable was poor so I just changed it and then adjusted the slides. good opportunity to add fuel filters and longer lines. ahh gas

still have the popping on the left.

could it be the hole in the muffler?

Thx
