How much did you pay for your CB77 Superhawk?

Post by Spargett » Wed Jun 18, 2008 10:29 pm

I'm looking into getting on myself. I'm highly motivated and very eager to pick one up, but many of the prices I'm seeing when they come up seem rather inflated:

Two Recent Examples:
- Honda CB77 Superhawk ++++ - $2450
- 1967 Honda CB-77 SuperHawk - $2200

I understand they're somewhat rare and all. Just trying to get a consensus from a solid community. Anyway, what did you pick yours up for? I'm curious to get a financial debate going on this topic. Look forward to hearing from you.

picked up mine, running but in poor condition, for 1200.

paying 2000+ for a running one seems to be the trend.
I wouldn't pay anything more than 3000 unless it was in pretty nice condition. maybe 4-5k for a completely restored one.

that second bike wasn't a bad deal, wasn't a good one either. just fair. in my opinion

My dad just gave me his red CB77. It will be my winter project later this year. It has not run since 1982 and only has 2800 miles on it. It is all there except for one badge is missing and the front fender is an after market. The original fender fell victim to a garage door.

Unfortunate about the garage door. but neat that you're going to restore it. pics if you've got em.

i got it about 3-4 years ago from the original owner,neighbor.
they had it resting up aganist a tree for a few years in the back yard,rusting the mufflers off it. before that it sat in the garage since 1978.
they bought it new and he curbed it bent the rims and parked it.
my kid made the deal to mow ,but i ended up doing the work.
all original all there.
