Utah, calling all 305'ers.
i'd go riding with ya if i still lived in provo. i even had a shop there behind Lemar's. when i left, i even
abandon a white ca77 in the building. i only had room to take my "real" bikes :-). this was like ten years ago.

If only 10 years ago, at the age of 15, i could have had the insight to drive my tractor down to provo from logan (200 miles) and pick up the CA in my scoop.

live near tampa

Post by rockinout305 » Fri Jun 06, 2008 5:38 pm

i live near tampa in lakeland. about 30 miles from tampa and 45 from orlando. i have been approached about this bike about 30 times since i have been riding it around. already put 30 miles on it just in in-town riding. bigscooter, sounds like you have some nice bikes. my '63 should be nicer but since its a gl there are no replacement parts for it. i was qouted between 400 and 1000 to do the cowls and front fender (straightening, welding). nothing cheap in florida. a guy down the street from me sold a pos kawasaki for 1000, taking this and other bike prices ive seen, i figured 2500 wasnt too bad. i know i didnt get the deal of a lifetime, but im happy. a full carb rebuild is next as it seems to want to stall when riding in 4th wide open, letting off the gas, and applying the brakes. any experience with this? my p200 had this problem and a carb rebuild got me out of it. any tips welcome.

I moved down about, oh, 3 years ago. Switched my major from painting at USU to graphic design at uvsc. Uvsc read as more of a highschool fashion show... lost interest not long after starting. Planning on going back and knocking out some night classes soon.

most of my scoots are far from show quallity, but i sure have fun with'em.

most likely a clean, well adjusted carb will fix that stalling problem.
have you adjusted the valves and set the spark timing yet?
