Interchangable Shocks?

Will the rear shocks from a CL77 work on a CB77?

No, top mount is different. The CLs use a steel encased bushing, and are narrower. I think the length may be different as well.

I just installed a set of chrome shocks I bought from a guy on eBayfor my CB77. NO they don't look exactly like the stock shocks since they hava an exposed spring and only the top half had a chrome cover.

But, they do fit and work well. They were intended for a cb450 and I had to remove a steel sleeve in the upper eye and also need to space-out the ends with a few washers.
Eye to eye is 12.5 inches and at $105 new, I thought it was a deal.

I couldn't see spending over twice that much for the English custom made parts for my purposes.

I'll keep my stock one's for the archives.
