Hey all...
Been trying to restore a 59 CA95 ... Rebuilt the OEM fuel petcock but it leaks bad ... cant get it to seal up.
Bought an aftermarket which is a much simpler design, problem is the screws they provided are too big.
Couldn't find what the original size of the screw is ... I would use the old one's but they are too long.
Any help on the subject would be great ... might just have to hit the Depot and try nuts till I get it.
CA95 Fuel Petcock screw question
Re: CA95 Fuel Petcock screw questionIf you're referring to the petcock-to-tank mounting screws, three are required. Size 5x25mm with obsolete JIS 0.9 thread pitch. Unlikely you will find these screws in auto parts or hardware stores.
For the correct CA95 petcock mounting screws and sealing washers, see eBay listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/115052664546 If shorter length screw is required, can trim to your dimensions. 1967 CL77 305 Scrambler
Re: CA95 Fuel Petcock screw questionI wondered if there might be a market for this pre-ISO hardware if I could find a source and I indeed found one. I managed to get a quotation on some screws on Alibaba and the price was excellent, only a few cents each. The only problem was the minimum order, 1 tonne. I won't soon be selling any.
