Re: Grandfathers CB77Got a chance to play a work on the bike today, Got some great advice from LM that I had not thought of. I think it ultimately was a combination of the slides being out of sync and the the needle jet settings (were in different clips). The points are still arching pretty bad after cleaning the crap out of them so I am thinking I might have to replace them. As it stands now It idles near perfect, starts well. I even got to take it for a few miles. It pulls great and the clutch feels good. It shifts normally and getting into neutral is easy when running. I am really surprised how smooth this old bike rides and goes. The seat I cannot say much about for comfort but I am used to a large bike with a couch for a seat.
I have a few parts to source to get it nice, needs a new front fender and a headlight ring (the one I have is solid but the chrome is about flaked all off. I really was thinking about a electronic ignition but it runs so smooth as it is I see no reason. Re: Grandfathers CB77If the points are arcing it might need a new capacitor
