seat foam shape

Post by vespaguy » Tue Mar 11, 2008 11:37 pm

I picked up one of those ebay seat covers for my ca77 recently (the Canadian ones that have been reviewed favorably by at least one other person on this site iirc).

It is well put together, but I am having some trouble with the fit. I am replacing an aftermarket cover (a poorly fitting one), so I cant use that for a reference. It seems that the cover is somewhat wider than the foam near the front of the seat, such that, if pulled over the seat tightly, the piping around the top edge of the seat would hang approx 1/2 inch below where it ought to be.

This may sound silly, but I have never seen a proper Dream seat.. in fact, I own the only ca77 that I have ever seen in real life. So, Does any one have a photo of a seat foam & frame, or a complete seat with properly fitting cover?

Thanks,
bc

Check 4shorts "The rebirth of a C78 305 Honda Dream" thread in the Restoration section, he installed a seat cover and has some good pictures. Could be what you need.
