After removing all pits with sandpaper working my way up from 100 to 1500 grit to get a good surface. I originally was going to have the reflector surface replated in nickel. I have done this before on Ford Model A headlamps with great results. The Honda lamps and Model A are basically the same in design. As I am working on a budget I zinc plated the reflector and then buffed/polished the surface. Not quite the same result as nickel plating but is is a very close second.
