I installed ALL new seals but the leak remains. I do not think it is the vent tube spewing oil, but I'm ready to run it with it pulled out and outside just to see.
The leak occurs right away and is pretty bad, but when I remove the cover, none of the seals look like they are the culprit. I pulled the stator and that seal looks dry too.
I'm wondering if I'm blind or just dumb??
The clutch pushrod has no groove but was corroded. I polished it . The oil is laying all along inside the bottom after only 5 miles and is dripping out.
66 cl77 oil leak inside the RH cover..?

Excellent tip.G-Man wrote:Clean and dry everything then apply some spray talum powder. That should show you where the leak is originating.

The leak is now on the LEFT SIDE..the left is now soaked hahahhha oil and vapors are coming out of that hose especially when I run down the road. crap..
Talked to LM and he told me what to look for... i guess I wont be riding it to work thursday hahahahha

I pulled the end of the vent tube out from the RH case and rode it. lots of oil came out!!
1 remove engine
2. tear engine apart
3. find missing circlip on RH piston and YUUGE gouge in cylinder.
its always simple..

couldn't be that simple.. hahahamike in idaho wrote:Has the head been off recently? If the baffle plate between the top cover and the head is installed the wrong way around it will tend to drool oil out the breather.
