Oil drip at exhaust ports
Oil drip at exhaust portsJust got my 66 scrambler back with a freshly rebuilt motor, I put 42 miles on it since getting it back and this morning after a brief warm-up about 3 minutes, oil drops are forming under both exhaust ports with the right side has the most oil forming drops.
I am taking the bike back to the mechanic but I would like to know before I do what could be the cause. The motor idles nicely and there is no smoke coming from the exhaust pipes though I didn't run it long enough to get it up to operating temperature.

Re: Oil drip at exhaust portsOil runs down hill.
Have you checked top cap nuts for being tight?. .......lm
Gave them a tug with a 14 mm box-end.
Don't own a torque wrench, I'll leave it to the mechanic that's 500 miles west of me to make it right! Besides the oil drip the kick start lever broke Saturday morning, kinda ruined my day, this is a fresh rebuilt motor. I expect it to last longer than 42 miles and 10 prods on the starter. 66' CL77, 63' CB77, 73' Jawa 350/ model 362 Californian 65' Jawa 250/model 590 07' Moto-Guzzi 1100 Griso
