rebuildhi all,i am just about to rebuild my 1963 cb72 after a years delay due to different situations and as usual have lost the plot on how i stripped it down but i have the two crankcases ready to bolt together and i think all is as should be is there anything i should check before bolting, also i am rebuilding a lot of parts which were bought in and some are not as described as being cb and the clutch basket i have is only accepting 5 plates and i think it is from a ca will this cope or do i need to source a cb one i wont be stressing the engine so no high speeds(67 years old and lost the need for speed)all help appreciated.

There were different friction plate thickness over the years and five plates is an early one. I have just dripped a 1961 CB72 clutch and that has five friction plates. You can still get the plates from David Silver but they are from a later bike. http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB77-305/part_36830/ G '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72
