tachometer cable on cb77tachometer cable on cb77when changing out my tachometer cable i tried to loosen the 17mm nut where the cable goes into the engine but it seems stuck. does the phillips head screw located nearby the nut have to be loosen? also, when the cable broke the engine is making a wierd noise at the place where the cable goes into the engine. all advice would be appreciated. thanks!
Wondering... does this nut have a standard or reverse thread?
Also... do you think it would be better to remove the Tach Drive Ass'y to attempt removal of the nut? I am also wondering about the availability of the nut that attaches the Tach Cable to the Tach Drive Ass'y. Thanks! _________________

Standard thread.
Leave it on the head as it holds the assy for better grip. The nut you describe is assembled to the cable and should not be removed. Have you scared or marked up the nut?. ............lm
