Best place to buy engine parts?

Post by Natrik » Wed Feb 17, 2010 2:56 am

Where would you recommend buying rebuild parts, such as pistons, rings, valves & guides, etc.? I've got gaskets and seals already, but I'd like to find somewhere inexpensive to get everything else rather than buy each thing separately from different companies. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I have had success with Western Hills Honda: http://www.westernhillshondayamaha.com/

They are in Ohio but they ship fairly quickly and they do have a big inventory of vintage parts. They don't have everything, but more than most other sources. I didn't buy my big parts from them (pistons, valves, etc) so I'm not sure if they have those available.

Look everything up in their parts finder, place the order and they will send you an email if they don't have something on the order. In other words: you'll be able to order anything in the parts catalog, but won't find out if it's in stock unless you ask.
