whats wrong 2???!!!

Post by matt » Mon Feb 14, 2005 9:38 pm

First i just want to say thank you for all of your hints the bike is running much better. My problem is that now its running great, and on two cylinders for about 1/8 of a mile then back to the same old problems. it only fires consistantly on one cylinder and the other cylinder kicks in and out upon acceleration. the spark plugs have been cleaned and gaped correctly, and i will be getting new ones soon anyways. If its not those what should i attack next? All hints are welcome<br /> matt

Matt, That could be electrical as well as fuel. You'll need to determin which. Can you tell which cylinder is miss firing? That would be a good start. After you get that figured out then I would look at the spark plug on that cyl. Is it wet? Is it white and dry? A spark plug chart could be a help there. If I had to guess I would look at my fuel supply, might be restricted on the one cyl. that misses(only a guess). Good luck! let us know when you figure it out. Steev Greer
