Leaky tach cover - help, pleaseOil leakI think there is a plugged oilway drilling in that area, I've never heard of one of those leaking but I suppose there's always a first time. Crankcase pressure problems almost always show themselves first as leaks from the alternator / starter sprocket seal.
There's also an o-ring (91301-268-020) under the flange at the top of the bushing that the tach drive shaft runs through. If it's damaged or missing, that will cause an oil leak. Access that by removing the countersunk bolt next to the threads where the cable screws on, and pull the bushing assembly up. On the CMSNL CB77 parts site, there's an exploded view that may be of help. Regards, Chase
