Cam Sprocket / Points Alignment?

I had the same problem. Do yourself a favor, save up for the electronic ignition conversion and never take your points cover off again! I did it and love the difference it makes. No more finicky idleing either. Just strong, consistant spark that's always on time.
You'll never regret doing it, but you might regret not doing it sooner, as evidenced by the following picture of what my number 2 piston ended up looking like in July.

That's what a little predetonation does at 80 mph for 5 minutes!

My understanding was that an electronic ignition is not available for this motor? I have one set of points that fires both cylinders at every stroke. The ignitions that I have seen are for dual points motors. I would love to upgrade if possible.
