my question would be why with far better oil available would you want to put that crap in your engine

I've used that CRAP with all the many engines (HONDA 250/305 TWINS) Ive owned and never a problem.
What other CRAP do you recommend?. ..............lm

NON-detergent oil does not hold dirt in suspension, therefore the centrifugal oil slinger can do its job.
Modern detergent oil does hold the dirt in suspension, expecting an oil filter to strain the dirt out of the oil.

I use 30-wt ND because LM told me to.
