I just bought a ca77 that was stuck (no plugs in the head for 40 years) I used PB blaster in the plug hole and let it sit for a week while I worked on my cb350 that I got at the same time, then last Saturday night I put transmission fluid in the holes ..it was on the center stand so I shifted up as far as it would go and grabbed the rear tire and turned it backwards and it moved the motor so I got excited and spun it forward...done it freed up nicely with no grinding or gritty sounds coming from the cylinders.
It didn't take much force at all, I was sitting on the floor beside it!!
how to unstick a frozen 305 superhawk motor
My Dream had been sitting since 73 and pretty rough.
I used 50/50 molasses and water to fill up the bores on Monday when I had the motor on my workbench and had removed the head. I let it sit for a couple of days, and yesterday I then used a kids medicine syringe to suck out the mix. I then spent about 10-15 minutes with a shortened cricket stump and a hammer, and it came free. I was even lucky enough to have the cam chain link at the top!! My best investment so far was an impact driver. Every external screw needed it. Cheers. Scott.
