daywalker wrote:Well. I haven't sold my bike yet. Still listed for sale though. I'm going to try one more thing to stop the plug fouling issue. My grandfather asked me if these bikes are oil injected. He suggested an "adjustment". I have no idea how to adjust how much oil it's getting. I can clean the oil filter if it needs it. That's about it.
This guy seems to be having the same problem I'm having aside from a couple of things. He writes:
"I have a 1973 Kawasaki 90cc road bike serial no.GA349891, engine no.GAE304054. Bike ruins spark plug in few minutes. Bike runs O.K. I'm told it's over oiling,(it leaves a smoke trail while underway). How do I correctly adjust the oil& gas so it doesn't self destruct for lack of proper lubrication? ( after sitting overnite it will start, run 10 seconds, and quit. plug looks O.K.but will never fire again.) With a new plug it starts with first kick and runs fine."
This was asked on some other website without a clear answer.
Exessive engine noise
I don't think you get the picture. ........lm
This threadWow...
Seems this train went off the tracks about page three and had somewhat of a recovery at page 7. In the end, I hope it all works out for DW.
Ha. Hilarious G-Man. Lol To answer the next question, I did end up selling my Dream and got all my money recovered. Yay! I am now in the process of buying a different bike. It's a red 2009 Johnny Pag Pro Street. I think it suits my needs much better. I still hope to own another dream in the future that runs well as a drive once in a while bike. Thanks all for trying to help me out with my Honda. Have a good one! Sell your bikeDaywalker,
Good that you got all your money out of the bike. You are fortunate. Please have the buyer let us know what was wrong with your bike. It would help Forum members to have that information. Best wishes on your future motorcycle endeavors. WOW - What an interesting bunch of events. Probably the Jonnny Pag Bike is the ticket for daywalker. Fairly simple twin - fairly new - probably easy to fix and I think fairly cheap used.
As the conversation continues I become more aware of daywalkers basic knowledge of the internal combustion engine - 2 stroke versus 4 stroke, etc. No question he should nave not started with a Dream. Here is a link for the review of the Johnny Pag - http://motorcycles.about.com/od/johnnyp ... review.htm Daywalker please be careful - you have a lot more horsepower than before. Wear a helmet and be careful.
I definitely will. I always wear my helmet. I'm actually acquaintances with Johnny through the internet, so I shouldn't have problems with customer service. Research tells me this will be a great bike for me. Thanks again!
