Jensen,

Well stated as G said. I was thinking the same thing about the front end. I could putt around all day on a Dream (with more padding on the seat for my boney butt), put I sure wouldn't want to tempt fate and try to stop quick at highway commuting speeds with that front end.

Hi,

Thanks for the comments.

Jensen

btw, When I did the upholstering of my seat I placed gel pads on top of the foam, just underneath the cover. I read this tip on the hondatwins forum, sure it works !

Thanks for the input guys.I really like the gel pads as I also suffer from the disease-no assitol.Living in a rural area the traffic is very light.I will definitely look to other options.I found a 81 Honda GL(?) 500 with the shaft drive. This could give reason to resurrect the old girl....maybe into an electric bike.Greener

I commuted on a GL500 for several years. They're very comfortable bikes, and they handle surprisingly well. Nice to have that fairing on there too!

Just for argument's sake, let's say I was able to acquire a set of the early four ring cl pistons that raised the the compression to 9.5:1,what combustion chamber volume would I need to reduce the compression to 9.1:1?What thickness gasket would accomplish this?Greener

Greener

Cylinder size is 152.5 cc
bore diameter is 60mm ( if STD)
Stroke is 54mm
Compression Ratio 9.5:1

Compression ratio is :-

Combustion Chamber Space Divided by (152.5cc + Combustion Chamber space)

Easy enough to work out from that.....
