How do you remove r/s engine mounting bolt

Post by 05hog » Wed Jan 26, 2011 4:47 pm

Pulling the engine out of my 1969 Dream 305 and it is a tight squeeze to remove the right rear engine mount bolt. Any tips would be appreciated.

I had to remove the right side engine case to get that bolt out. All of my phillips bolt I had to use a impact driver that I bought for $12 at Auto Zone. Why are you pulling out the motor?

I figured I was gonna have to go that route...just hoping for some easier way I did not see. Pulling the motor to give her a paint job. I usually re-do old Harleys but saw a picture of a Dream and had to have one. Just going to give it a quick spray, freshen things up since I want to use it as an run around the island bike. Those impact drivers are one of the handiest tools you can have...especially when working on 40+ year old stuff!
Thanks for the reply...ride safe
