Is it possible to put turns signals on 65 CB160? If so how?

Yes, it's pretty easy. I posted the process on my 305 in the forum.

Very much aftermarket.

Single wire bullet blinkers and add on handlebar switch available from most custom shops.

Used a standard $3 autoparts store relay, and an inline fuse.

The wiring is simple, and I can post that too.

Relay: Any auto parts Two prong, round.

One small roll of 16 black wire.

Two steel three inch plates with two holes each. Home Depot or Lowes, find the round metal securing U clamps and use the plate the forms the bottom of the clamp. Like $3 a piece.

Mount the back signals to one end of the plates, put the other hole between your seat bolt and the seat, and you are mounted.

Front blinkers secure the headlight cup instead of the standard bolts.

Thats it except the wiring, which is pretty basic.

Did the same thing on my 160.

I am definitely going to get my switch from DCC and also the blinkers. I noticed there is a possibility for a kill switch on the control. Is this something you did on your controls? Any pictures you can post on wiring would be a great help.

Here is a diagram. I strongly advise adding an inline fuse between the battery and the flasher relay on the hot wire.

Have not tried kill switch.

Note that this simple wiring is not switched to the key, so the blinkers will work even if the key is off. Also, you will want to minimize use as they eat battery. The bike was not designed for blinkers.

Also, no one hate on my silver bucket. It was that way when I got it.

Do you have a closeup of how you mounted the turn signal switch?
