Yep It's a "Reggie Tube". Translation: A tube that mounts to your license plate so that you can store you registration in. Cool or what? :)

That is a very nice one. I bought one the other day and I think it is a 65'. It is no where as nice as yours...sunburned and rusty. I was thinking about parting it out but.....I am going to get it running.
The trans sounds and clicks well but the top-end or crank is frozen. Some dummy changed some stuff on it and there are some parts missing but..........to me it is worth playing with. Some people say they are just machines but I feel it is a crime that someone let that proud little bike sit in the yard for 40 years. Bikes are made to be ridden and that is their job; their life. I love them so much; they all have a spirit to me

If they are parted out, atleast they get to live again in another sister or brother bike and hit the road again. This little bike wants to run and to roll in the sun. It deserves it and that is my plan.

Last evening I sand blasted some of the parts and after I had them done I found the frame full of some kind of a critters nest so I had a bit of trouble getting that out. what ever was in there had planned on staying awhile seeing the nest was tough to get out.

I got the wheels unlaced and ready to polish the hubs and some other stuff. I've had the little bike running before I stripped it down and it runs like a finely tuned clock so I'm lucky there.

I was out on a service call last week and dragged home a C70 Passport. It's rough to look at but runs like new so I'll be doing that one as well. I was surprised to see it was a 1984 model. I thought the last year for them in Canada was 1983. This one is all electronic ignition and 12 volts.

Amen to that my friend. Either way they live on. One thing about these old gals. The rougher they are the more fun they are to bring back to life and when you do they'll go for another 40 years or more. Good luck with your project and remember "If it's worth doing, It's worth doing well" Paul

Wow, what an amazing restoration, great work.

I just picked up a C200 (not sure on the year yet), and if mine turns out half as nice as yours, I'll be more than happy.
