Has anybody ever installed one of these shifter-stops?

Thanks, Lee

So, Lee, what does it do / how does it work?

Had a genuine Webco piece on one of my bikes in the 60's. Still have it in my parts cabinet. Probably a fair crutch for a 250/305 with a thoroughly thrashed transmission. You better be in neutral before you come to atop, as it really limits shifter movement. A properly shimmed trans with good shifter fork bushings, good low gear bushing, and gears in reasonable shape, is the proper approach for troublefree shifting. Regards, Chase

Looking at the pic again, I guess it stops the shift shaft flopping around?

It limits the total amount of travel of the shift shaft/arm as ya raise/lower the shift lever with your foot. (limits rotation of the shift drum)
When that other person asked me about it I told him my RACE ENGINE builder buddy from California had just sent me one.
He said it is a Prehistoric part for the early (250/305) HONDA engines. "DINOSAUR"
Look at it! :-)
He also told me years back he tried it and it didn't improve anything with the shifting.
He had just found one in his parts box and wanted to share history with me. ............lm
